About Us

Craftstones Europe Ltd is a family business and was incorporated in January 1991. However, we had traded as Craftstones under the auspices of Baines Orr (London) Ltd (incorporated in 1970) as a wholesale supplier of semi-precious gemstones for many years before.

We are the only major wholesaler in the UK to stock tumbled polished stones over a range (up to eleven in some cases) of graded sizes and as such, have been in a position to supply manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers in bulk.

We are the European distributors for Topstones Pty Ltd, based in Cape Town. Over the years, Topstones  has developed a reputation for being one of the main producers of quality tumbled polished stones in the world. Through this close association, we have access to a variety of both common and unusual minerals used in the tumbling process.

Craftstones started ‘life’ mainly as a tumbled stone wholesaler, but over the years has expanded and diversified and we now stock an extremely wide variety of semi-precious gemstone products. Between Topstones and Craftstones, we travel extensively, constantly seeking out new products as well as personally selecting as many products as possible. Our main customers these days are wholesalers, gift shops, internet shops, Esoteric/New Age outlets, healers and therapists, jewellery makers, as well as publishers and manufacturers.

Our range of products is both comprehensive and ever changing. We pride ourselves on the diversity of the stock we carry and endeavour to cater for all needs and pockets! We carry well over a hundred different varieties of tumbled stones, many of which are also duplicated in both rough and specimen form.

Our main products include:

  • Tumbled polished gemstones
  • Jewellery
  • Natural Minerals and specimens.
  • Polished Gemstone Gifts and carvings
  • Holistic shapes
  • Gemstone trees
  • Temporary Strung material for jewellery making

Many of our stock items are unique, one-off items which cannot be itemised in a price list or depicted on this website because of the variation of sizes and grades. Therefore, we do recommend that you visit our Redhill warehouse, when possible, in order to fully appreciate all that we have to offer.
