Description

White Brecciated Jasper

An opaque form of Chalcedony – white with red/cream/black patterning.

Jasper is an aggregate stone, mainly composed of Quartz and Iron. In White Jasper, the presence of Red Haematite (the mineral responsible for its distinctive red colouring) is lacking in its compound, resulting in unusual colouring and patterns across the stone.

The name ‘brecciated’ comes from the word ‘breccia’. This term is given when rocks composed of several different fragments are naturally melded together, creating banding and veins within its matrix.

Jasper is a stone commonly used for mental wellbeing, and to help in the treatment of deterioration of the internal organs.
