A common Silica Mineral – dark green moss patterns. Agates are formations made of Chalcedony and Quartz, normally sporting layers of varying colours across their formations. They are the result of Silica-rich ground water seeping into the cavities in igneous volcanic rock, transporting minerals that harden in layers over the course of many years. The unpredictable nature of how these stones are formed creates concentric banding and colour unique to each deposit, adding a ‘personal’ characteristic to jewellery.

In Dendritic Agates, the dark inclusions through the stones matrix are grown due to trace amounts of metal fusing with the Quartz. It is these impurities that give the stones their unique qualities, particularly when highly polished. Green Moss Agate is different from other Agates, as the dendritic patterns across the stone create foliage like markings, instead of banding.

It is believed that due to its perfect symmetry, a crystal sphere releases positive energy in all directions, to raise the vibration of your space.
