Unakite

An Epidotized Granite – green with pink or red patterns.

Unakite is an aggregate stone containing several other rocks within its matrix. It is made when Granite is exposed to immense pressure under hydrothermal activity, fusing Epidote, Feldspar and Quartz into a new stone that resembles ‘brick on moss’.  As it is not a true gemstone with a crystallised formation, so is always found in huge deposits.

Unakite is thought to be a grounding stone, promoting balance within the body and mind when processing emotions. It is also used to promote health and wellness during pregnancy, particularly in hair and nails.
