Aventurine Heart

A variety of translucent Quartzite – mid green with sparkling Mica specks.

Aventurine is most commonly associated with the colour green.  However it can be found in many other variations such as red, white, and yellow. Inclusions of Mica flecks within the matrix give the stone a sparkling quality, providing an eye catching finish when highly polished.

Green Aventurine contains Fuchsite (a chromium rich Mica) – the main mineral responsible for giving the stone its distinctive colouring. The volume of Fuchsite within the stone directly influences the depth of the green colouring.

Aventurine is commonly used to soothe anxiety and alleviate fears, while promoting other practical qualities such as leadership and emotional strength.
