Description

Brecciated Jasper Heart

A microcrystalline form of Quartz – red with white/cream/black patterning

Jasper is an aggregate stone, mainly composed of Quartz and Iron. The presence of Iron Oxide (the mineral responsible for its rich, red colouring) pigments the compound, resulting in its distinctive colouring and patterns across the surface of the stone.

The name ‘brecciated’ comes from the word ‘breccia’. This term is given when rocks composed of several different fragments are naturally melded together, creating banding and veins within its matrix.

Brecciated Jasper Heart is a stone commonly used for providing mental clarity, and to help in the treatment of deterioration of the internal organs.
