Chrysoprase 

A fine grained Chalcedony known for its beautiful apple-green colour, with embedded flecks of minute Nickel. It forms during extreme weathering of igneous rocks containing Serpentine or Peridot, morphing the Nickel within its content to create a translucent, fine grained quartz. Its vivid colouring and highly polished finished has made it a very popular choice for cabochons and jewellery throughout history. The modern semi-precious gem market is flooded with synthetically dyed Agate and Chalcedony to create a stone similar to Chrysoprase.

Our Chrysoprase specimens are completely natural, and have not been synthetically enhanced in any way. 

This stone is thought to help with inner healing, aiding in balance and calming to soothe the mind.
