Leopard Skin Jasper

A microcrystalline form of Quartz – black-ringed autumn colours on cream to red.

Jasper is an aggregate stone, mainly composed of Quartz and Iron. The unique patterning across this stone originates from the variety of other minerals and impurities present during its formation. When highly polished, these patterns are very desirable and eye catching.

The patterning is created when rocks composed of several different fragments are naturally melded together, creating banding and veins within its matrix. This commonly occurs during tectonic activity within the Earth’s crust, as disturbing deposits of Jasper causes it to continuously grow and fill any new cracks or veins that have been created.

This stone is commonly used to bring stability and harmony.
