Description
Scolecite
Tumbled specimen.
Scolecite crystals form in flower formations with clusters of needle-like shards. When the stone is highly polished, these flowers create ‘blooms’ and striations across the surface of the stone. It is normally found on top of Calcium Zeolite deposits, particularly in fractures along metamorphic rocks.
