Rough Aragonite (Blue)

Blue Aragonite is a polymorph of Calcite. These minerals are usually found growing intertwined in high temperature, Calcium- rich marine environments, such as caves or hot springs.

Aragonite is commonly found as a pure white mineral, but can be found in several colours if other minerals are present during its formation, and are able to pigment the deposit. In the case of Blue Aragonite, miniscule flecks of copper have turned the stone into a vibrant sky blue, sometimes sporting blooms of sea-foam green, or teal.

Size and shape of each piece will vary. Excellent quality colour is guaranteed.
