Description

Bronzite Heart

A pyroxene mineral – brown with bright bronzy streaks and flecks

Bronzite is a stone that is mainly found in ultramafic igneous rocks. It is named after the Bronze, submetallic lustre on the surface of the stone. A high iron content is responsible for its colouration, and is how it is distinguished between its closest mineral relatives – Hypersthene and Enstatite. Its highly reflective, ‘schiller’ effect is created when Iron is separated from the main mineral content, forming a fine film coating. Depending on how the stone is cut, it may also retain a chatoyant effect, similar to Tigers Eye.

It is believed to be useful in meditation, particularly in easing the mind of past worries or uncertainties to bring inner peace.
